We’re pleased to announce the appointment of our new Board of Directors. We’ve welcomed two new members to help steer Infinited Fiber Company forward as we continue to grow and take the next steps in our mission to make textile circularity an everyday reality.
Pertti Korhonen will continue in his role as chair of the board, with Jan Lång, Jussi Sainiemi and Ali Harlin maintaining their positions as members of the board. Our new board members are Elisabet Salander Björklund and Elina Björklund.
We’re thrilled to have these wonderful innovators join the existing trailblazers on our board as we press ahead with the scaling of our operations and work to realize our plans for the world’s first commercial scale Infinna™ factory.
As the board began its work, we asked each member to share what it is about Infinited Fiber Company that excites them. Here’s what they said:
Pertti Korhonen, Chairman of the Board, Infinited Fiber Company: “Infinited Fiber Company has developed and commercialized a breakthrough technology that enables the fashion industry to address the sustainability challenges of its current linear business model. Together with our customers we can revolutionize the fashion industry and make it sustainable.”
Elina Björklund, CEO of Reima: “I am thrilled to be part of this incredible deep tech story: a company born out of a desire to solve the biggest challenges of the textile industry and with a business model ready to scale for real impact.”
Professor Ali Harlin: “Infinna technology solves essential sustainability problems of the textile fiber industry.”
Jan Lång, Board Professional: “Creating a business that is truly unique and that will lead the transformation of the global branded textile industry towards a sustainable future.”
Jussi Sainiemi, Partner at Voima Ventures: “Infinited Fiber Company has a unique solution to provide sustainable textile fibers and enable green transformation in the apparel industry.”
Elisabet Salander Björklund, Board Professional: “What excites me about Infinited Fiber Company is really the reuse of the textile fiber in a sustainable way. The reuse of textile fiber is an important step for a sustainable society. I have earlier been working with wood fiber and I see similarities, but also differences. Being part of a company going from research to market is challenging, but I do look forward to being part of a company taking sustainable steps into the future.”
